Junior Boys age grade Rugby Fall 2017 U18 for boys born 2000 and 2001: U16 for boys born 2002,2003, 2004?

(Our Junior team is playing Sandbach a School from Cheshire England July 18 at the Langley Clubhouse Tuesday July 18 5:00 )

The season for Junior boys rugby starts Mid September. Sundays with The younger ages first then the older ages early afternoon. The season going until first week of December
Canada Rugby registration for a year and Club fees total $250
All skills and experience are welcome
First official practice is planned for Wednesday August 23 6:00 at Langley Clubhouse. Then every Monday and Wednesday

Junior Boys Rugby Season Ready to Start


Junior Boys Rugby born 1999 and younger(1999 and 2000 are U18/ 2001 and younger are U16) first game is September 18.(The Season ends 1st of December) We had our first practice with new players out. Looks like we will have a competitive group to compete this season. We will be getting our full schedule the first week of September. Practices are Monday and Wednesday 6:00 at the Clubhouse. Come out and give it a try. Our goal is to help everyone become a better player and have some fun playing Rugby. contact Marvin if you have any questions.

LRC will have a U-18 Mens team born years 1999 and 2000

U-16 Team born 2001 and younger

For men born 1998 and older LRC will have a team were you can play competitively
LRC is in the process of setting up a pre-registration so Junior Players can indicate
that they want to play without a full commitment until we see how many are interested

The players have a fun touch game every Thursday at Clubhouse 6:30

Langley Rugby U16 and U18 boys wind up their Season

The LRC Junior season has come to an end.
The U16s hosted the final tier2 jamboree at LRC Nov22.
The tier 2 was a collection of players from different clubs
who got together in a jamboree format allowing everyone to get
playing time and improve themselves. It included players from
Langley,Surrey,Richmond,United and Chilliwack.

The LRC U18s joined with Richmond to compete in tier2.
United and Lomas/Rowers were in tier2.
Langley/Richmond defeated Lomas/Rowers Nov15 to advance to a
playoff with Ravens in tier1.
Langley/Richmond lost but advanced to Super Sunday Nov29 in Victoria
to play Westshore for 7/8
Langley/Richmond took 25 players over and everyone had a good experience
losing 44-19 With Langley players Spencer Todter and Matt Stephens scoring
a try each and Nick Johnson kicking 2 converts.

Langley Players develop from Minis to Rep Rugby

lrc-logo192x192There were four Langley players who made BC Rep teams this summer.
George Brown U14B, Caleb Gerth U15B. Jordan Meyers U16G, Liam Murray U18M

George grew up playing rugby in the Langley Rugby minis program and watching his Dad play
for the Club on saturdays. This year playing grade 8 at Poppy. He was selected to play for the BC U14
team at a tournament in Kelowna on the Aug 8,9 weekend. BC had 3 teams playing games against Alberta, Ontario and Washington. From those
3 teams 1 BC team was selected. George was part of the BC U14’s playing against U15 teams from Alberta and
Washington. The BC team played well but did not pull off a win against the older U15 boys,

Caleb played at Brookswood and for Langley Rugby U16. He was selected for the BC U15 team which went to Ottawa
to play the Ontario U15 team July 31 and August 2. Tying the first game and losing a close one.

Jordan Meyers played at Walnut Grove. She was selected for the BC U16 team which went to Ottawa to play Ontario U16
July 31 and August 2. Winning both games.

Liam Murray played in the Langley Rugby minis program. He then played for Brookswood and age levels in Langley Rugby
progressing to Langley senior men last year. He was selected for the BC U18 Men’s team in July going to Kelowna
on July 31 and August 2 to play a Prairie team made up of players from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba. Winning both games.

U18 and U16 boys practice start Wed Aug 12

Boys born 1998,1999,2000,2001 For Fall age grade league
Practices start Wednesday August 12 6:00 at the LRC Clubhouse

Pratice will be Monday and Wednesday 6:00
New players are welcome,this is good development for your School season

Mini Rugby

Mini Rugby has started! We’re running the K to Grade 6 as expected and due to popular demand we are also hoping to roll out U-13 and U14.
